Cos'è il satsang?
Satsang è una parola sanscrita che significa semplicemente "Comunione con la verità ".
Come evento formale è un ambiente in cui gli studenti sono invitati a porre domande all'insegnante riguardo alle loro pratiche spirituali, autoindagine, meditazione e simili. A volte quelle domande possono anche essere domestiche; come come gestire un certo momento difficile in cui qualcuno potrebbe andare, per esempio.
In tutti questi casi, qualunque sia l'argomento della domanda particolare, l'insegnante (o tradizionalmente il guru) riconduce sempre l'interrogante a se stesso, tornando in contatto con la realtà del proprio essere in modo tale che lo studente trovi il rispondere per e in se stessi.
As a formal event it is a setting in which students are intived to ask questions of the teacher concerning their spiritual practices, self-inquiry, meditation and the like. Sometimes those questions can also be domestic; like how to handle a certain difficult time someone may be going to, for example.
In all those cases, no matter what the topic of the particular question, the teacher (or traditionally the guru) always guides the questioner back to themselves, back in touch with the reality of their own being in such a way that the student finds the answer for and in themself.

Since you are that self, you are the final authority as to what the true nature of the self is. That makes you the ultimate authority on the very nature of existence.
No more deferring to outside "experts" or even gurus. This path is SELF-REALIZATION. It is you realizing and confirming who it is you actually are.
All experience passes before you
Constantly changing
Coming and going
Arising and subsiding

Yet you remain
Unchanging
Watching it all
Experiencing it all
Witnessing it all

Recognizing that you are That
Pure witnessing
​
Thus the search ends
You have found the truth
You have found yourself
You have found The Self
