Affirmations, Visualizations and Resistance to the Highest

Mindset is a very popular term in may areas of personal development, success training and positive psychology. "Have a positive mindset" is the mantra.
But what is the mindset of a being that is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, all-reality? And here is an even bigger question: Can we get access to that?
We have probably all tried the approach of using affirmations and visualizations to bring about progressive growth in our lives. We have used them to get beyond apparent blocks and limitations. But, for the most part, we haven't. There have been some minor gains but the general tenor of our lives has remained pretty much the same.
It's interesting, but when I did a google search on "mindset of God" all I got was a bunch of memes about trust, belief, faith. Lots about having a positive mindset ABOUT God, but nothing of the mindset OF God.
It makes sense that, if we are going to go into the mind of God we best know who it is. So what do I mean by God and what in the world does that have to do with affirmations, visualizations, positive attitudes, manifestation and all the rest?
I am going to use a very simple and practical definition for the term, God. Something inside of all of us humans reaches for something beyond all of our limitations. It is as natural as breathing. It is as if something inside of us knows it is possible and actually knows what that rarefied, perfect state is like. That something within us that knows IS GOD.
You see I don't see God as a person. A person, however powerful and gifted is limited. We all ultimately are seeking the limitless space. Well the limitless cannot be bounded by anything. So it isn't a person. That energy or motivation or aspiration within us is not a person. It is an infinite force. And, perhaps you have noticed... it's in all of us. And in all of us, it is identical.
Sure we have been differently taught about our limitations. Some were taught to be more open and resourceful than others.
But the way I was trained doesn't mean that is what I actually am. Being taught that I am limited doesn't make me actually limited. It just limits my experience of myself.
Like the elephant that is taught when it is young that it can't pull the chain out of the ground and walk away still believes it when it is older and could easily do so.
Take off all the limits and you have... voila... the God Self, the God Principle. And this Self, this Principle is universal. It is not a person off in the distance somewhere, it is the very essence of your being.
All the limitations we experience are learned, not innate. Take all limitation off and what you have. Something infinite. Something boundless. Something beautiful. Take anybody and remove all limitations (I mean all) and what will you have? The infinite. The boundless. Aka... God.
Affirmations, visualization and all the various positive mindset techniques are limited by the notion that you are limited and we are just making you a little less so. I assert that we start from the perspective that we aren't limited and what we are affirming is not just a technique for self improvement but the affirmation of the truth of your being.
And, believe it or not, it is way easier to assert that. Why? Because it actually is true. The God Principle is your vey being and in fact, it is that Principle that will do the affirming for you. Then you will no longer talk about God you will talk as that Principle.
